Trivial Walls

Only One knows
Where I get this courage
To smile in the worst of days
And be gratified with the least of bread

In an age that has lost all trust in us
The genuine smiles being only diplomatic
With barbed strings attached to generosity
Only turning you and I more skeptical

Somewhere in the hearts of men
Still lies benevolence
As homo sapiens,
Filling our emptiness with camaraderie
Is one subtle essential often ignored

So take the first step
Be the reason behind another's smile
Shut out all the pessimism
Give selflessly
The world will have every reason to giveback.

Blind Emulation.

A heavy head from an active Friday night is all you have left. Forgetting your worries and living your fantasies was your reason. Now here you still are, sober enough to remember your bills, your landlord's share from your monthly peanuts and ofcourse, the little one's welfare. You meant to create joy and happiness from it only to end up with bad breath, a terribly intoxicated body and suspicion getting you craving for as many more pills in the name of security and prevention. It must be crazy out there. I know. It is crazy out there. In every hundred of us, the majority continues to contain this same syndrome. Working like a horse from Monday through the week to Friday, where the party gets started. And then there comes the weekend getting you to sleep like a koala in your would have been most useful time. Hold it. Now Hold it a bit. Take a deep breath and then you can read on. I got some bitter truths about you on the low you might wanna ponder on. Don't wo...

Unlearning Encoding

As I read, so I shall write. The written word has indeed thrived over the centuries. An art that gave the few who harnessed it ranks over men of their nations, from Socrates, to Shakespeare to J.K Rowling, the list is endless. This is indeed one of the most reliable mediums our forefathers have been able to communicate with us. Giving you the feeling of the presence in their past, long gone moments. What other conceivable way have we to make use of that is suitable,...for every edge?  This brings us to this part for as I listen, I shall grasp . Call it oral culture. To date, some societies have clung to this and have nevertheless thrived equally, or even profoundly more than others. Word for word, books like the Quran have been passed down over to generations through a period of more than 1400 years. Earlier, the process of memorizing involved off-head recitation, then later encoded and compiled into the text from which most Muslims of today now pick it. This is one b...

Rosy Actually EP.1

She climbs the stairs to her mother's room where the home printer is. Even though her mother wouldn't mind her much, she decides to tip-toe across the floor to turn the machine on. It's 2 AM in the night. Lucy is nervous and equally excited about the job she is applying for. She presses the printer's power button and witnesses it as it starts to kill her silent entrance. 'I am sorry Mom,' she says as she exhales heavily. 'It's okay sweetie. I was awake anyway. Looks like the printer betrayed you,' said her mother, humorously. 'You know this is the home printer, Lucy. You have full right to it just as I do. Even though it resides in my room' 'But I didn't want to dist -" 'Shhhh, me and your dad know how much this job means to you and we will always have your back sweetie. Now go get some sleep. You have a job to chase tomorrow. These copies will be ready by the hour you get up. Lucy wa...
